Getting to Glasgow Airport
By car
Glasgow Airport is situated around 8 miles from the centre of Glasgow and can easily be reached from the M8 motorway (junction 28), with a typical journey time of 20 minutes. If you're using a satellite navigation system you can input the postcode PA3 2SW.
By taxi
A taxi transfer is a quick, convenient and cost-effective way to get to the airport, and is particularly useful for those with wheelchairs or pushchairs, as the taxis usually have more room than shuttle buses.

By train
The nearest rail station to the airport is Paisley Gilmour Street, which is just one mile from the terminal and easily reached by taxi or bus (services 66 and 300).
There are direct rail services from Paisley Gilmour Street to Glasgow Central, Ayr and Clyde Coast destinations.
When travelling to the airport from any station in Scotland, simply ask for a rail ticket to Glasgow Airport. The ticket will be valid on the train to Paisley Gilmour Street and the Arriva bus service from Paisley to the airport.

Trains to Glasgow Central
There are eight trains an hour from Paisley Gilmour Street to Glasgow Central (five per hour on Sundays).
Rail tickets to Glasgow Central, via Paisley Gilmour Street, can be purchased from the SPT Travel Centre on the ground floor of the airport terminal, next to domestic arrivals, or online from our partner by visiting their website (click the link to the right to be taken to it).
By coach

Coaches to national destinations
National Express coaches serve almost the entire UK, and in Glasgow will take you to the city centre for a short bus ride to the airport. Services to and from Glasgow city centre
Service 500 (Glasgow Flyer Airport Express)
The Arriva Glasgow Flyer provides a high-frequency bus service to and from Glasgow City Centre and Buchanan bus station (stand 46).
Services run up to every ten minutes and journey time is 15 minutes to Glasgow Central rail station or 25 minutes to the bus station.
Buses are fully accessible and free wi-fi internet access is provided.

Arriva Scotland West service 600
Arriva’s service 600 offers visitors to the airport an hourly bus service from Glasgow Airport to East Kilbride via Paisley, Silverburn Shopping Centre, Thornliebank, Clarkston and Busby – and reversed on its return.
The service 600, which operates on a Monday to Saturday basis, runs up to every hour and journey time from Glasgow Airport is approximately 10 minutes to Paisley, 28 minutes to Silverburn Shopping Centre and one hour to East Kilbride bus station.
Service 600 buses are fully accessible and free WiFi internet access is provided. Tickets can be purchased from the driver – change available, and at the SPT Travel Centre located on the ground floor near domestic arrivals.
